Independence Statement.
Neil Fogarty Research LLP operates as an independent advisory practice. Our work is based solely on our assessment of the evidence and our professional judgement.
Protecting independence and managing conflicts of interest are central to this. We will not allow commercial interests to override the integrity of our analysis or the clarity of our advice.
Independence and how we are paid
- We do not take referral fees, sales commissions or success fees from vendors, platforms or other third parties whose products or services we may discuss with clients.
- Where we refer to external tools, firms or resources, this is done for explanatory or comparative purposes only and not as paid promotion.
- Our fees are agreed transparently with clients in advance and are not contingent on particular recommendations, products or outcomes.
Identifying and managing conflicts
- We assess potential conflicts of interest before accepting new engagements and when scope or circumstances change.
- If a potential conflict arises (for example because we advise related entities or counterparties), we are transparent with the clients affected and will only proceed where the conflict can be appropriately managed and everyone has agreed.
- Where a conflict cannot be adequately managed, we will decline or step back from the engagement.
Role as a critical friend
Our role is to act as an impartial “critical friend” to boards, executives and oversight functions: willing to challenge, clear about evidence, and independent of internal politics and commercial pressures.
